In May-June 2022 we undertook a phenomenal journey through Dolpo to the remote Crystal Monastery and sacred Crystal Mountain. Our journey was organised to assist Lance Richardson with research for his major upcoming biography on Peter Matthiessen (the late author of the cult travel classic The Snow Leopard). We were accompanied by Nomadic Skies' friend and colleague, the photographer and film maker James Appleton.

Lance is working on finalising his book which is likely to be published in 2024 by Penguin Random House. We will keep you informed.
