Announcing: Journeys to the villages of the snow leopard Autumn 2022

So pleased to pre-announce a unique conservation oriented journey in Autumn 2022 to the stunning high Himalayan valleys of Dolpo in NW Nepal. We are working to support local conservationists Tshering Lhamu Lama and Sonam Choekyi Lama who are working with their local communities to monitor snow leopard activity and promote conservation. Our 18 day trekking journey will explore the legends and experiences of the snow leopard in local communities, the spiritual significance of the snow leopard in Bon /Tibetan Buddhist culture, as well as the habitats and habits the Snow Leopard in one of the strongholds of this illusive and beautiful animal. Linking with local communities and local leopard spotters we will explore the life of the snow leopard and the complex relationship between high Himalayan communities.The journey will take us to some of the most beautiful high Himalayan landscapes in an area seldom visited and explore the unique Tibetan culture of NW Nepal.
